What does everyone use to lubricate the pivots on their knives? I've been using hoppes #9 oil just cause it was what I had around, but there must be a better option. Thanks!

I personally use Nano Lube it lasts very long IMO and I love the thin applicator tip it comes with.

BreakFree CLP has worked well for me. Also good as a rust preventive and cleaning gunk off the blade.

Avoid Nano oil. It's 100% expensive snake oil. A brand name on mineral oil. If u already spent the money it's fine. But nothing special.

I've been using quick release lately but also like mineral oil, benchmade blue lube, boker lube, diawa reel oil, and a bunch more.

Read the label if you want food safe pick a food safe lube.

Grease also works really well. Keeps stuff out and forms a Teflon washer basically. Good for knives on washers.

3-IN-ONE LOCK DRY LUBE, penetrates and lubricates - won't attract dirt - anti-corrosion.

I like Benchmade Blu-Lube as well. It has always worked exceptionally well for me. Just put a thin film (what is left after putting a few drops and wiping off excess with a paper towel.

That said I run most my bearing knives dry.

I use some stuff called Inox MX-3fg its a NSF kitchen machine grease. Probably not available in North America, but there should be an equivalent.

I use slick honey , super slick, mildly tacky grease , designed not to gunk up and maintain it's viscosity
