I have always been interested in things that go bang and get a number (a ridiculous number my wife would say) of those magazines. I am starting to develop an interest in knives largely from reading this site - though I know they will always be of secondary interest. I feel the need for a knife magazine I have looked at two Blade and Knives. There maybe others that I am not aware of.

What knife magazine would you folks (almost wrote guys - and that would have been a mistake) suggest? What I am looking for is tests on production knives, articles on steels, handle materials, upcomping producting knives etc.

Thanks

Blade Magazine - Not bad but lost some respect when they started doing reviews on United Cutlery stuff. They also seem to really like knives made by the deadbeats in GB&U.

Tactical Knives Magazine - Currently my favorite although recently they tested a knife by Chudzinski who didn't/doesn't deserve the free publicity.

Knives Illustrated - Seemed to be higher end knives but not a bad read.

I'd also suggested the Knives annuals, for example this one on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Knives-2007-J..._bbs_sr_1/002-6953568-3756065?ie=UTF8&s=books

any of David Darom's books, such as:

http://www.amazon.com/Design-Modern...f=sr_1_12/002-6953568-3756065?ie=UTF8&s=books

and the Knives, Points of Interest series:
http://www.amazon.com/Knives-Points...ef=sr_1_1/002-6953568-3756065?ie=UTF8&s=books

There's Knife World:

http://www.knifeworld.com/

and an online magazine called Finer Edge:

http://www.thefineredge.com/

After that there are a bunch of asian and european magazines as well.
