Hello,

I have been looking around town and online and can't find any knife makers, so i thought I would try on here. I'm looking for someone to teach me the trade of knife making, I have a passion for knives and great attentions to details. I will gladly pay for the knowledge! Please email me if you would be interested or know someone that may be, thank you!

ps if this post is in the wrong area my apologies!

I would check with Daniel Fairly, he's in Bayfield but he may know some other guys upstate nearer to you. You should fill out your profile with your city and state to help out with things like this.

Hey Thanks Xander!

I don't know anyone but check "Knives 2012" or Blade Magazine's Knife Guide for a list of makers by state. I bet this information is online somewhere. There are probably some other guides, these are just off the top of my head.

Best of luck! I hope you find a nearby maker, some things are better learned by being there and seeing.

I live in Northern Colorado. I have talked to a couple of makers out here. I will PM you a person that I think you should talk too.

For some reason I can't PM you or email you.

Look up Steve Rollert, he is really nice and has been making knives for over 30 years and he does teach.

Tell him, Brian from Fort Collins, told you to talk to him.
