Knife Maker School

Pardon my ignorance but I am new at this. Are there many knife maker schools around the country or do you have to go to a maker personally to be trained?? I would love to do this, But I am starting from scatch Thanks

ABS School

You might think about taking in some Hammer-ins and knifemaking symposiums in your area of the country. You will quite often find threads announcing these events in the Shop Talk-Bladesmithing Questions and Answers forum.

If you do decide to start making knives there are a great bunch of makers on this forum that seem only too willing to help out the new guys, with great advice.
