I posted here before, but my computer gave up the ghost. Sorry to those of you whom took the time to respond to my first post but I lost all my email.Brother has been helping me with this new computer and I believe that I am getting the hang ouf it!
But anyways,
Knife maker wanted. I made blades until a few years ago, small stoke left the right arm a bit fragged. Looking for a maker who will grind the bevels on a few folders and a fighter or two that I rough ground out a few years ago.I just need the bevel ground on and brought to a point where I can have it heat treated and sand blasted (cant hand rub anymore either-brother can help me with the the works,
I live in North Georgia, but will ship if you are interested in the work.
Last part,I approached a maker here in Georgia, who gave me a long spiel on ''ownership'' of a knife, after I hitched aride to see this gent he hit me up with'if you cant do all the work yourself, then dont get into knife making''for those of you who may send me an
email of the same type,my rebute was,do you make the steel yourself?
Did you make those bushing inserts or hex head screws yoursef?
so if you are interested in a few short bits of work write me.
Please dont get preachy at this last part, but unless when its done it only says ''from grandpa to Michael Jr. on the blade, all I want is
a blade bevel groung on,not a makers mark or name (as this maker insisted upon.
Ps. I dont know if you use this steel anymore, but I made them out of 01 which is what we had around the shop at the time, though my brother says he has a bit of Damscus (which I just looked up on the computer today-real neat!) and I may want to use this ,but you would have to tell me how to use it,like o1?-
anyway I am running on as I do,
anyone recomend or have interst in this type of work?
Best wishes-
