Knife makers in Illinois

Been looking around bf for a long time and finally decided it was time to make my first post... Was wondering if their are any knife makers in northern il. I don't think I've seen it in anyone's profile and was just wondering....thanks
 
I believe that Karl Anderson is somewhat close to Northern IL. You'd learn a great deal from him.
 
I think, repeat think, Karl is in Kankakee. I'm in Champaign-Urbana, which is central IL, and I'm also not much of a knife maker, but I'd be willing to have you down to my shop for burgers, beer, and bullshit some night.
 
Thanks... I'm not much of a knife maker either only have made a couple so far... I probably should have said this before, but I'm only 14 ;)
 
Pretty close - I'm 1/2 way between Champaign and KKK.

I'm in Oak Park which is definitely Northern Illinois.................

I dunno if I'm a knifemaker, I'm more of a knifemucker although I do have most of the tools and all the books (which I might share.......... IM me). It seems that my knifemaking skills are frequently applied to other sorts of making, which are usually fun too.
