I am looking to hook-up with knife makers in the South Bay. From San Jose Ca. down to Hollister. I live in Morgan Hill and am just getting started in the craft and would like a chance to talk to other makers and visit your shop and just talk knives. :D:D:D:D

Thanks
Allen

That would have been nice when I started getting interested in this. I lived in Mt View but did not know anyone there into making knives. Well not there anymore so good luck. You may check out BAKCA they have collectors and makers all over the area.

Off the top of my head, Mike McClure in Menlo Park, Robert Weinstock in SF, JP Holmes I think is in Pleasanton, Ron Richard in Fremont, but I think he is doing just guns now, and Jay Harris I think in somewhere abouts the North Bay.
There are more, but I'm braindead at the moment.
The BAKCA site was reorganized and lost all the Maker data, but I saved the database info. I'll have to figure out where I ratholed it.

BAKCA is a good place to start and if your interested I have a small shop in Los Gatos drop me an e-mail

Mike Vagnino is in Visalia, and Henry is in Clovis. It's only 200 miles from San Jose. Would be worth the trip though.

Allen,

There are only one knifemaker in the Southbay. That I know of. Good Luck.
John Enos - Morgan Hill
Mike McClure - Menlo Park
J.P. Holmes - Livermore
Brain Baron - Burlingame?

I'll be moving to Aptos soon.Send me an email around mid June and we can set something up.I know theres atleast one maker in San Jose, but I cant remember the name. There are makers throughout the Bay area and as the others said BAKCA should be a good contact.

I was wondering if you still had your shop? I have started a small food business making all natural snack bars. I am looking to have a knife made that can cut 24 bars at once. Essentially like a giant knife stamp or cookie cutter. Let me know if you are able to do something like this.
Thanks
Kristy
