Are their knife smiths who will replace handle / scales or add scales to skeleton frame ? I imagine working on other maker's blades is odd, buty imagine there is a good market of people wanting to rehandle blades. example, I've got an old user that the rubber handle scales are beat up dings, chips, chunked, gouged and scratched, The scales are 2 piece secured with pins. The blade is a favorite but could use updating with modern g10 sculpted scales. Another blade is just a skeleton mini, but so awesome serrated ;\ it would really be awesome to have a handle with scales on it.

Anyone rehandle other smiths or other manufacturers blades ?

Thank you,

There are makers who will.

You will get better results if you posted pictures of said knives.

*rehandling might cost more than the knife is worth, depending on the knife?

I have done a lot of them just for my own fun. A person could shape a handle with simple tools such as wood rasps and sandpaper but I used a small belt sander that I already had.
