Sponsored by Benchmark Abrasives. 1st Prize: 2" x 72" Ceramic Sanding Belt Starter Kit - 24 Belts, valued at $230
The challenge will start Sept 15 - Nov 15. Submissions need to submitted and received by email to bob@solarstorm.ca no later than Nov 15 at 1800 MDT (6pm mountain daylight time)
Theme: The Royal Dagger
Create a Dagger fit for royalty. Indicate the nation, fictional or real.
Min blade length 9” (show this in a picture or video)
Max blade length 14”
Must include a scabbard or sheath.
Submission:
Minimum of 3 photos: Blade and Sheath. Blade in the sheath. Highlight photo (your choice to highlight the strength of your build. Plus any videos. Videos must be hosted on a video hosting platform. Submit just the link. Do not try and send the videos through email.
Be prepared to prove this is your blade and not one scammed from the internet. Try and be in the picture/video personally or add a physical item that indicates this is for the challenge. A sign or paper is the easiest, but dont be afraid to be creative.

Scoring:
Using Benchmark products: 10 pt
Build Process and Documentation. Youtube or document with Photos. 10 pts
Fit for Purpose. Does it match the requirements and theme of the challenge? 20pts
Fit and finish. Does the video or pictures highlight the fit and finish? 20pts
Testing. 20pts
Artistic Appeal. Does it look good. 20pts
All decisions of the judges are final.
