Just finished teaching a mosaic damascus class in Ozark Missouri this weekend at Tom McGinnis's shop. I had no idea how nice a setup he had and his very large shop is designed for teaching knifemaking. He can handle up to 14 students with enought equipment to keep everyone busy. If anyone is interested, it would be well worth the trip. I had a great time and met a very nice group of folks there. Check out his site at - http://www.ozarkknifemakers.com/

I wish I had known Don, I would have liked to have seen you in action. Was Bill Willis from AVA at the seminar. He used to hang around there some.

Hi Bill, I think Tom could have spread the word a bit better about the class but he's not on any of the knife forums and doesn't advertise. I will most likely do another class in the future and will post it here ahead of time. I don't know Bill from Ava and don't think he was there, we had 8 in the class though, I wish I had writen down all their names. I also wanted to add, Tom and his wife were very gracious host's and the food was great

Saturday was actually the first time I had ever visited that shop, but it is definitely a nice set-up. A little too clean though . . :D

Hey Don are you going to Duncan's hammer in next month?

Bill
I have alot going on next month and I'm way behind on orders, so I don't know if I can make it, I might though. I've heard this is a pretty good hammer in.

Don - the class sounds great...but the $250 I'd rather give straight to you for a folder lesson...:p...even if I only get an hour....:foot:
