Found this Trapper for sale and its a horrible pic. I've been in touch with the seller and asked if it was a Case and they replied "NO". I asked what brand it was but haven't gotten a response. Anyone have any guesses given the bad pic?

A more detailed pic of the tang stamp could help to identify it. But because of the pic, it´s pretty hard, nearly impossible to tell you which cutlery made the knife.

Yeah, I kinda figure but the responses I have gotten have been few and far between. Figured the blade and bolster shape and nail grooves might narrow it down little... maybe. Kind of a guessing game. Heck, they only want $15... may just commit to buying it, just out of curiosity.

From the bolsters, blades, and nail nicks, it may be a current production (imported) Imperial. Google "Imperial trapper" images and see what you think.

Thanks, they may very well be what it is. Upon closer inspection, I can see a faint outline of a shield about a little under an inch down.

Never mind... there's a thread about that on the first page right now lol! It is 1095. I'm gonna go put an edge on her right now :D
