Knife nightmare

Ok, happened to me this morning. I had a dream that my house had been broken into and my knife collection pawed through. Which knife did I look for first? My Sebenza.

So, if it were you, which knife would pop to your mind first?

I realize that some of you have collections that have grown so large you would be hard pressed to list what you had to begin with, but which one would distress you the most?

My TNT. Even though I now have other very nice customs, it was my first one that had everything "right" about it.

My pre-patent, 1915 Marble's Woodcraft that I got from my Grandfather. Anything else can be replaced.

Something like your nightmare happened to me a few months ago.

Someone broke into our house, looking for a gun. I guess they just wanted to kill someone. They didn't get too far, though. I believe the cops picked them up a few blocks away.

Anyways, they basically tore the entire house apart, including my bedroom where I keep my collection.

They didn't take anything but a gun (an old unloaded .38 that I didn't even know was in the house - my landlords brother's gun). Left checkbooks, laptops, money, etc completely alone. They didn't even take any identity/financial type information, which is pretty common crime in Cali right now.

But, they sure did go through my collection. Had almost all of them out on my bed. It looked like they seriously considered taking one knife, as it was seperate from the rest. Maybe they got scared and left it, I don't know.

Out of all the knives I have, the one knife it looks like they wanted was a CRKT Kasper. Pretty funny. I think I paid like $35 for it. I guess they thought it looked tough or something. You would think that they would've taken a more expensive piece.

I guess it was a REALLY good thing they didn't know anything about knives.

It was not a happy day. At least they didnt take anything of mine. I've since moved about half of my collection to a different location.

The first knife I looked for after it happened? My old, beaten Spyderco Endura. I don't know why. I guess it has a lot of sentimental value.

My Spyderco Military CE.

The main reasons being;

1. It was a gift from a fellow forumite(Allen E. Treat) that he gave to me out of his generosity during this Holiday Season.

2. It is my absolute favorite knife with just the right amount of serrated edge on the blade. ;) (carried a PE Millie before the CE)

This TnT is probably my current "favorite", but I can't say I really couldn't live without it.

My G-10 serrated Spyderco Police model...For the SAME reasons; It was a gift to me from Allen, and it is my favorite folder. (And I carried a PE SS Police model before receiving this G-10 Police model.:)).

My Dozier Straight Personal. I love that little fixed blade and carry it every day. Plus it was a birthday gift from my wife so that makes it extra special.

It would be a tough choice between my Sebenza and BM 806D2. The Sebenza because I love it so much, and the AFCK because it was my first "high-end" knife.

For a burglar I would have to go with my Michael Cooper Smatchet.
The only good burglar is a headless burglar;)
