Knife obsession?

So I've been finding myself measuring the value of things by what knife I could have instead. For example: If I'm about to drop $200 on a new jacket or whatever, I find myself saying, "Would you choose this over a brand new Bradley Alias I?" The answer is rarely yes.

I am sick. This is a cry for help.

At least knives aren't the most expensive thing to collect... Plus, they don't take up much space, have practical use, and have resale value.

Its all about priorities. The trick is to use it to your advantage. I did the math and figured out if I quit smoking I could afford a CRK fixed blade in about a month or a Randall in about 2 months. I'm now saving for a new Randall. :D

Try to give your passion a topic.
Think about a purchase, and if you could live without it.
Most knives are there the next day too.
Set your priorities, be ready for "the opportunity".
Sometimes it helps to focus on knives, i.g. when the urge for a new flashlight get's to strong. :)
