Of course you can get custom, but sometimes that is to expensive or there is something that a custom person just dosen't have the resources to do. I've seen a lot of knives people have made themselves out of things such as mower blades and such, which gave them a very unique (and awesome) look. So if you could have any knife, with any steel, fixed or folder, anything your creative mind can come up with... what would be the knife of your dreams?

One that I commissioned from Darrel Ralph about a year ago. When the time comes, it will be one of my last knife purchases if not the last. I do have an eye on a Burnley folding kwaiken, but haven't yet fully decided.

I'm working on getting a Nirk Tighe directly from Brian Tighe with my own little twist to it;). Can't really get anyone's hopes up until I get the pictures though.

If I could do it I would start with an Axis lock that has stiffer, and thicker springs for the lockbar. Then I would add a .187" X 4.5" blade to it, in the form of a short clip point (something like the ZT0500). It would have thick titanium liners, something along the lines of .150", and covered with thin micarta grips, probably green canvas. Then there would be a deep carry, foldover, pocket clip that placed the entire knife in my pocket at a tip up position. I would have a titanium backspacer that was 3/4's the length of the knife. I would have it put together using 4-40 hardened screws. Finally I would have a thick pivot, along the lines of the ZT0200. That would be a dream knife for me1

Titanium framelock with a titanium scale. steel would be S90V, flipper opening, long drop point like the kershaw energ-2, but thicker.

A Randall made Model 14 Attack folder with assisted opening and a Andrew Demko Tri-Ad style lock.

Scott Cook raindrop damascus Lochsa

This for me also, however any Lochsa compilation would do.

If I could have a knife made,it would be a Ti framelock with no more than a 3.4" clip point blade,FFG of CPM-M4@RC62/IKBS,flipper,tip-up clip.

Wow, so funny you say that. I commissioned Darrel Ralph to build my dream knife in memory of my father. I was just notified it will be shipped in the next few days after waiting 7 months. It is a damascus custom 4" Madd Maxx assisted with 3 panel desert ironwood and titanium case framelock, deep pocket clip and personal engraving. I can't freeking wait. There is something very special about Darrel's Madd Maxx.

here is my dream

Clip Point (think emerson cqc 13 shape)
4.25" x .188" blade
D2 steel
Bead Blasted finish
Full Flat Grind
TriAd lock
Tan or OD G-10 handle slabs with full Ti liners
Double Choil similar to the American Lawman
Nice big Tip down clip

If it was going to be a fixed blade,

I'm thinking that the Benchmade Bone Collector skinner in Walnut comes pretty close. Fixed blades are so diverse though it's hard for me to single it down to just one type that I'd like to have.

How about an ALOX Soldier with S30V steel....not the knife of my dreams, just a suggestion to the Victorinox folk who might read this board.....since I came up with the idea, I get a free one ....heh heh heh....

Benchmade bedlam but with the following mods:

5" blade with 3/16" blade stock but with the same nice swedge.
tri-ad lock
wave opening
more pointy steel pommel

Now that is a real tactical folder my friends.

it's always my next one.

I'd LOVE to have a REKAT Sifu again...That's the knife of my dreams.
