knife oil

You have to have oil man, so it costs whatever the one you want costs. Some companies make specialized ones that are expensive, I think regular Remoil, WD-40 etc. would probably work just as well. I have used all types including sentry solutions tuff cloth, tuff glide, frog lube, fireclean, Remoil, gun grease, i've even used car wax. None of it has significantly out performed any other in that I would get rid of all others. Some come in innovative delivery methods that are handy, like pre moistened wipes, or cool little bottles, but the products are all comparable in my opinion. As long as it keeps the rust off and keeps it from squeaking that's all we're looking for, I think.
Good luck in your search.

That seems like a good price for a quality oil. You will get a lot of suggestions, but most will be more expensive.

Tuff glide is really good and about $10

I use Remoil and Tuff Glide. Both are cheap, easy to find and do a great job.

I'm sure the Victorinox oil will do fine though and a bottle that size will last longer than you'd think. I keep a 1ml insulin syringe full of remoil for pivots. Lasts me a few months and I go through way more than an average amount.

I've used good old 3 in 1 oil for many, many years with good results and no problems.

thanks man but when you said you have to oil, can i also not oil the knives that i dont use,
knives that only are on display
what will happen if i dont oil the knives that are on display ?

I use food safe mineral oil & a jellied type of mineral oil,, the normal oil for edc use, the gel for carbon steel & longtime
storage.

Cheap and effective.

1234,,,:)

I use frog lube on blades and tuffglide for pivots and other moving parts. both work great. I am thinking about trying 85wt nano-oil tho.

Always liked BM Blue Lube.

Lightweight and just does the job.

Most of the guys I talk to use 3 in 1 and are very happy with it, so that would be another option I could recommend.

Tuff glide for me. I buy the pens because I like the needle applicator, and I use the cloth too

If im lubing my folders after i dissesemble and clean, i us a dab of bearing grease. Lubricates, for me anyway, better than only. Doesnt run or dry up.
