This is another one with a blade from the Nash/Metro leaf spring. Guess you'd say its along the lines of a Nessmuk except its somewhat larger. The blade is 7 1/4". Overall its 13". The handle is from a very large elk tip and the usual fittings. We got about a half day of freezing rain yesterday and its still around but looks like its starting to melt. I wish it would hurry up and melt so I can drive to the store. I've got less than one chew left.

Here's a picture of one of the reasons I like these rings so much. All threw the making of one of my knives I'm constantly hanging it up and just looking at the profile. With the ring I can view the knife from all angles and see if I need to make any adjustments before it gets epoxied together.

Great knife! You sure have a style of your own!
but what are you talking about freezing? It´s so hot I have to sleep with the windows open over here!

Ray I really like the semi-skinner point and deep round belly leading to it. Always a pleasure!

I'm go'in on "Nash Hunt" in'ta morn'in! Surely some damned junk yard around Houston has at least one of'em out back?

GGGGGreat knife as usual,

Hey Mitch, any old truck or tractor pre-1950's should have some sweet leaf springs suitable for this kind of work. But you already knew this, right? ;) This is one reason I keep my little a/o torch setup with small tanks so I can tote it out into the woods or field to cut loose old springs. Great stuff!

Nice knife there Ray, I see you forgot the sheath again. Are you slipping and sliding around up there. Be nice here into the 70's today and no wind. Gib

Gib, 70's sound pretty comefee. My left hip, heck the whole darn left leg have been giving me fits this winter. I sure hope its nice for the Las Vegas Show. I've got got 2 hawks and a couple axes to finish up and then I'll go on to the sheaths. Think now I have 5 or 6 to make...

Really, really nice knife there Ray, thank you for posting the photos of it.
Regards,
Greg
