Knife on TV show "Scrubs" the other night.

I recorded last Thursday's shows, as I was out of town, and watched Scrubs last night. In it, Dr. Kelso whips out a black folder to open a package.

I'm just making sure I saw it correctly. It looked like a black-bladed Kershaw Leek. Did anyone else see it?

It was obviously an auto, or assisted. The blade was thin and pointy with no apparent belly, and looked about the right size to be a Leek.

The main emphasis of the scene was not that he had a knife, but that he was immediately prepared to open someone else's mail, with no moral qualms.

I guess I'm just looking for confirmation.

I saw it as well- thought it was a kershaw but was distracted and have not rewatched it. I am glad I am not the only one who noticed it!

I saw that episode. I thought it was an automatic. My impression was that it was a ProTech Godson.

I saw this too. At first I thought it was a Kershaw, but then I wasn't so sure. Yeah, let's try to get an episode number and figure it out. Speaking of knives in the media, anyone see the knife that Matt Damon has open when he's chased into the alley in the Departed. Was that a Spydie?

It was the one where all the secondary characters take turns narrating, including Big Todd (he keeps Turk from ruining his career), The Meek Lawyer Dude (helps the nurses get a raise), and Dr. Cox' ex-wife (keeps blondie from ruining her relationship).

Pretty good show, if you ask me.

I have it on video, so I may go back to see if I can ID the knife more definitively.

Knife in The Departed was a Kershaw Whirlwind. If you notice it has the three holes along the back of the blade.

Thanks for the pic, folks. Now I can rest easy.:D It appears most likely that this is a Protech Godson, as Dr. Kelso is fairly small, so it may look bigger in his hands. A Godfather would look huge, comparatively.

It's nice to see a quality knife used in the media in a non-violent, tool-worthy function. Good press, all around.

Looks like the Godson to me as well. Bad comparison here:

Scrubs is the best show on TV right now, but I only started watching it this year. I'll probably only get to watch season 7 in real time because I don't want to start watching 6 until I know I've seen every other episode, and since I watch it 4 times a day I'm sure I have that covered.

There's one Scrubs episode, that was one of the best single episodes on TV (with the exception of the British Office's Christmas Special/Finale): it was the one where Dr. Cox's friend, played by Brandon Frasier, comes to town (plays gay chicken, human puppet, etc.) and gets tested again as his cancer is in remission. The ending is quite poignant. I won't give anything away, but it is a fine episode.

Oh, and nice call on the Godson.

@MaxFisher: thanks--I'll check tonight for the Whirlwind. Thinking on it, the blade shape was quite whirlwindish.

That was my favorite one :)
