I went looking for a Barlow today and found a pattern that I'm not familiar with. The knife was about 3- 3 1/2" closed and has a sheepsfoot or warncliff type main blade with a small pen blade as the second. It was made in Sheffield England. It was hard to read the name of the maker but it looked like it started with a K. Any ideas?

Thanks

Pics would sure help. Does it have an elongated bolster like the barlow?

I can try to go back and take a pic. I didn't buy it because they wanted $45 for it and I didn't know what I was looking at. I don't think it had the elongated bolster.

Okay, I owe you fine folks an apology. I finally got back to the store to look at the knife in question and realized that I had the writing on the tang of the blade flipped in my head with another knife.
Mark above is the closest because the knife was a single spear blade design made by Richards in Sheffield. No thanks
I did get one thing right. The Barlow I looked at was made by a maker starting with a K; but it was Kutmaster in Utica,NY.
I messed that one up pretty bad. Sorry! It's really hard to get good advice when giving bad info to work with. I will certainly do better next time.
