Hi all,

It seems true that each knifemaker imbeds a bit of themselves into every knife they make. This Tony Bose Swayback Gent that I recently acquired struck me as especially true of it reflecting the maker, and also seemed to me as a knife full of personality. Might sound silly to some, I know.

The Gent has beautiful dark gnarly stag handles that are nice and beefy. The texture really helps to keep a good grip on the knife.

Just wanted to share a picture of it:

Jeff,

I agree with you, but it's also the person and their personality. The older I get the less interested I am in new,

but the traditional never loses it's appeal. To much time is spent in changing what does not need to be changed, change for changes sake?

A simple and useful tool in my pocket is a life long tradition and one that I live by. You like and buy what strikes at your soul

and so it is for the constructor, they make and sell a what strikes at their souls.

Just a small insight into my view of life. Steve jobs made what he liked and you see the result ever day.

Jeff
