Okay, I pretty much just suck at this photography thing.

Can anybody give me some names and contact info of somebody that could take photos for me??? I see the big names in the knife mags...

I need to get some digitized for making a web-site.

Thanks
Nick

My vote goes to Eric Eggly at Point Seven studios in Toledo OH. You mentioned about the "big names" and the magazines......sadly it's true, most of the times if the mag editors/photography folks doesn't see one of those certain names on the evelope, it's likely to get tossed into the "use only if nothing else is available" pile. I used to wonder how in the world I could justify paying so much for photos........but now after seeing the results that the recognized names provide, I don't think a maker can afford not to have the photos taken.

Terrill Hoffman is a fellow forumite and a friend of mine. His work is in all three of the monthly magazines on a regular basis, has been in the Knives Annuals, and is in the new Knives Digest. He's the official show photographer for the Southeastern Custom Knife Show. He was the photographer for the PKA Show in Denver this year, as well as the new show (Spirit of Steel?) outside of Dallas a few months back. He's also a moderator of the Knife Photography forums at KFC and the Custom Knife Directory. Here's a website with many examples of his work:

Thank you all for the kind words. I thought I better let you know that my email address has changed. I had to go to roadrunner so I could check out all of the forums and not spend all day doing it. The new address is thoffman@carolina.rr.com
I am putting together a specially priced package for those wanting several knives photographed for the internet but don't want to have to put the kids into slavery to do it. I'll email it out to all of those I have done shots for in the next week. If you would like more info just drop me a line. Thanks
