Hi fellow blade brothers,
Lately I've noticed some changes to how everyone has been posting photos of their blades. Although they are really great pictures I find it hard to make out what the knife really looks like. It seems to look like a puzzle that you would need to piece together to actually see what the knife would look like as a whole. Does anyone else feel the same way? Viewing a picture of the entire knife would give those who view it a better idea of what the knife truly looks like.

Do you have any links as examples? Also, this sounds like a topic for tech support.

This post was not intended for tech support. It was an observation of recent post.

I think I understand what you are saying, and it isn't a matter for tech support. Posting a bunch of artistic closeups is fine, but not including an overview of the entire knife leaves people wondering what it actually looks like.

Thanks Jack ! Mods please move this back to general knife discussion thread.

I'm glad someone understood it. ;)
I'll see if we can get it moved, ya should be more specific or at least provide a link so people know what you mean right off the bat.

Yes, I prefer (too :) ) the pictures of entire knives*, it's help me to do opinion on this.

*That's why, all my pictures on my personnal website are on this way.

If you post a knife for identification in Bernard Levine's section, he insists on flat-on full-knife photos in addition to closeups of specific features.

The problem sometimes, to get really nice pictures, you have to tilt and angle the knife in order to not show reflections of the photographer, camera, or lights.
