Sal,
I noticed on the Spyderco web site it looks as if you have added a couple of new knives to the line. Are these hunting style folders? When will pictures be posted? Come on, you can't list new knives without pictures! That's not fair!

GC - We're always working on the site. Some pic were still in process. Which models were you speaking of?

Sal,
I'd guess he's talking about the Flat Iron Folder (IS CFIFP) and the Iron Hunter (IS C03P)

The "Flat Iron Folder" was the mating of a drop point blade with the original FRN "Rescue" handle. It was originally made as an exclusive model for another company and was dubbed the "Snake River Folder". The other company ran into some problems so the model was changed to the Flat Iron Folder and sold as an exclusive through Ironstone Mail order. When Ironstone Mail order shut down. the balance of the pieces were being closed out through the SFO store. I don't know current status as to whether or not we have any left.

The "Iron Hunter" was also made as an exclusive model, but for Ironstone Mail Order. This model is a mating between the standard stainless handle as on the C01, C03 and is mated with the blade from the C13. This one is a sleeper. I know there are some of those left and still some being produced. They won't be around for long.

Sal,
The Flat Iron Folder and Hunter models are the two that I was thinking of. Sound like great knives, especially for the hunter/outdoorsman. So many knives are tactical, which is great, however, some of us hunters like using knives for the woods, field dressing game, skinning, that sort of thing. Not being familar with the basis of these knives as you described pictures would be very helpful.

GC-
The Ironstone Flat Iron Folder is still available through IDB.

Does anyone have pic's of these two knives? I'm interested, but I'd lke to see one. If someone could direct me to a site where there are some scans I would appreciate it, thanks.
