I'll be in Las Vegas on business for four days in the middle of August. The convention is at the Venetian Hotel and I won't have a car. Are there any knife stores (or other places) worth visiting?:D

Would you believe I was there for 4 nights last November?

Would you believe it was my first time there?

Would you believe I saw one gun store in passing (probably have some knives) I THINK on Tropicana Blvd maybe a mile or two off the strip.

I have a brochure from it at the house. If I can get on later I'll post details.

I know it don't help ya none, but I still can't believe how fast 4 nights/5 days was GONE!!!!

Okay. The brochure doesn't say anything about knives.

It's called "The Gun Store, Inc." at 2900 East Tropicana Ave.

It is shown as 3 1/2 miles from the MGM Grand.

They offer rentals including machine guns!

They have a website www.thegunstorelasvegas.com

Hope it helps!

By the way, There is a Lightshow Downtown that SHOULD NOT BE MISSED!!!
It runs like every thirty minutes or hour after dark and is different each time. At the - stretching brain cells here - Golden Nugget there is at least one COOL Pistol on disply. I could be wrong on the name but it is a corner place at one end of the Light Shroud.

It is a most AMAZING town!!!

Knife places?

Check out Blanchards Cutlery on Maryland (East of the strip off Desert Inn). Talk to Pam and Gary. Good people, prices...OK...MSRP

On the other side of town, try Lynn Bonds, House of Cutlery. On Sahara (West of strip, about 2 miles) near Valley View.

Gun stores are another story.

Adios

Looks like Baba Louie beat me to it...I have to agree though!

Blanchards is a very nice shop, good customer service, but prices are a little high(to me anyway). Decent selections of Chris Reeve and William Henry.

House of Cutlery(aka Knives and More), is a hidden little shop with a good selection of autos and also has excellent customer service. Lynn, the owner, is a great lady.

Don't forget to check out WalMart for Kershaws and such...there is one right down the street from The Gun Store.
