Submitted for your scrutiny is a little prototype knife, the Specimen Slicer. It's made of beta titanium alloy (89.5Ti 10Nb 0.5Fe), forged followed by stock removal.

It's like a tiny meat cleaver, and will have a leather-wrapped grip and sheath when completed. Future ones will probably not be convex-ground.

This little thing has a lot of big fans around my shop! :D

I'm not really a massive fan of mini cleavers myself, but having said that this looks like a very cool little knife. What do you envision it being used for?
Also, did you eat a massive plate of bacon with one small carrot? I'm glad you're getting your daily vegetables :D

You didn't notice the green leaf? That's a salad with bacon bits!

Aye ya Chris, I ate up the bacon right after the pics were taken, and the salad as well. Blade-making is powerful hungry work. Powerful hungry!

This prototype is going to a friend who will carry it in a little square-tip leather sheath with a belt clip, and will use it for everyday slicing and cutting needs.

Queue the vid of you dressing out the hog and makin' the bacon with that lil' cleaver! :)

Looks like a cross between a cleaver and a straight razor. :)

Counterintuitive, but I have to admit I'm intrigued by the possibilities.

Now that is how a meal is suppose to look!!

The food pyramid is all screwed up these days, luckily some people still understand correct portions!! :D
