Hey I was wondering if any of you had an Ontario Rat 5 and what you thought of it.

Don’t have one but go on YouTube and check reviews. You will get a better idea if the 5 is for you by watching people use it .

I don't own any Ontario fixed blades, but I have several Ontario folders and I love them. Great value for the money. Ontario has a very good reputation in general.

I feel sure somebody who has experience will be along soon.

I had a Ontario rat 7 and have an esee 6. I'm in the hunt for a esee 4. Rather buy a lightly used than new.

I would not hesitate to get the D2 version at this price.

I have the Rat 3, 5, and 7. I like the 3 and 7 (for different purposes) and thought the 5 would kind of "split the difference"; it did, but in a bad way (for me). Too much handle for too little blade, not as nice to carry as the 3 and not as variably useful as the 7. Just my .02
