My apologies for being so vague but I am looking for a knife that I saw awhile ago.

An old acquaintance of mine had a small stainless folding knife. The blade had a serrated edge and a clip on the side.

It looked like this one.

I might be wrong but from what I recall at the end of the handle there was a lever to unlock the blade to fold it back in.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Yes, that is pretty vague. Could cover a wide variety of knives, good and bad. Sounds like a lockback design from your description? I can tell you that, if you're looking for a similar knife to purchase, the Spyderco Native you linked to is quite good in its own right.

The only two that come to mind that have some sort of mechanism at the end of the handle to unlock it as opposed to being around the middle of the handle are the Buck 110 and the Cold Steel Bush Master.

Spyderco makes/made quite a few knives with stainless steel handles. You could try googling some up and see if they look familiar. It could also have been any one of a number of different knockoffs.
