Ok, so more and more I am leaning toward a Fetcher knife.

Shoot, the guy lives down the highway from me :). The idea of owning a local makers product is VERY cool to me.

Ive been looking at pics for weeks.

I'm a bushcraft guy. Im not "tacticool"... I'm not a "knife fighter type".. I like working blades for bushcraft work. Fire starting, snare work, small game cleaning etc.

So, the question is... Which one? Right now my fav bush knife is a ESEE RC3. Love it. So i tend to like a shorter blade. That makes me think the Delta 4. but Im not sure if I dig the thumb ramp.

So that made me think about the Bush Operator.

What do you all think? Should I consider a Pocket Kilo also?

Also, if im not a fan of convex grinds, how long on a sharpmaker to make that thing nice and pointy straight?

I believe the grind is convex and the edge is not. he said he finishes them on stones.(if I remember correctly) He likes to hand sharpen.

In the important information sticky there is a sharpening thread. Hope this helps.

If you live that close to Dylan, maybe give him a call and see if you can meet up to try out the knives. If you can't do that, I know he'll be at the Blade show in Atlanta.

i have a Pocket Kilo, and the edge is not convex. It's a breeze to sharpen it. If you're looking for a smaller EDC knife to replace a folder, it's a good choice. Mine has replaced my Spyderco Endura.

Where are you located bro. I don't mind letting you check some out in person if you don't mind making a trip over here. The grind is convex, but the edge is standard flat bevels. Easy as hell to sharpen.

I think his Bush operator WITH a thumb ramp would be a perfect bush knife

Im over in Canton. :)

I now understand what you all mean with the grind. Thats perfect as I use stones to sharpen.

I have an Izula and I think the pocket kilo may be a bit to similar. IM also planning on getting an Izula II. That one has scales and would be a bit redundant.

But still, it may be a good option for me.

Well, figure out a day you want to drive over and I'll give you directions to where I'm going to be if you want.

Not to knock a great knife as the Izula is, but my Pocket Kilo has replaced my Izula hands-down. The Izzy just kinda sits in the drawer in its sheath and looks, umm, pretty. The Pocket Kilo is a hell of an EDC knife, and mine is one of the things that never leaves my pocket at work. I'll get around to getting some pics up here sooner or later..

Id love to hear your thoughts. I'm leaning more toward the Bush Operator or Delta 4. Especially since I will probably get an Izzy2 when they release the forum model.
