I am looking for an all around knife for heavy duty use. Here are some of the knife that i have narrows down as my primary knife.

Full Size USMC KA-BAR, Serrated Edge, the Sog tech bowie, SOG creed and the Bk7

And also I considering the the Buck 102BKS Woodsman 4 as a secondary knife for more precise task and skinning. If anyone can give me a better suggestion for a secondary or primary knife please tell me.

The Buck 102 would do fine as a more detail oriented knife, but for your primary, it is hard to beat anything from ESEE..

I second you getting an ESEE over the KA-BAR. i love KA-BAR and all knives but for a heavy use knife i think you should go with an ESEE. i have the 3, its a nice smaller fixed blade, and if you ever break it, no questions asked replacement. Plus you get color choices with the ESEEs. If you want to stick to the taned leather color on black scheme you should look at the ontario rat fixed blades, no leather but its micarta with the color similar to the usmc.

Primary-Ka-Bar USMC
Secondary-J.Martinni leuko
Belt-tool SAK
Pocket-Ontario RAT or Utilitac

Instead of the USMC, go for the BK7. Its a much tougher knife given the full tang. It is also almost half the price of an ESEE. If money is not an issue, go for the RC4 or 6.

Under $200

Svord Von Tempsky Ranger 6 inch convex edge, L6 steel. Very tough, can still slice very well
Bukc hood Punk 6 inch 5160 well balanced, tough, but slices well

Over $200

Koster Bushmaster 5 inch 3V over .200 inch. Tough as nails yet still able to do delicate work.

War Horse knives 4 inch O-1 bushcrafter. Smaller and lighter but good for jobs not needing batoning. Excellent HT, Comfortable etc.

really , really tough , under $100 in most cases

.250 inch Ontario Spec plus 2 in 5160 and Spec plus in 1095. Also .250 inch. Also have .187 inch ( 3/8ths inch) models and Ontario Ranger line with pretty much Ranger knives same choices. Different length, different thicknesses, and different steels. From very inexpensive to still good value.

Survive knives in different sizes and steels. Excellent quality and comfortable.

Heavy use fixed blade.... Kabar Becker BK-2, BK-10, or BK-7. The price is right. ESEE 4 is a good all around knife too that will stand up to a lot of punishment. I personally find the BK-2 to be a bit too much knife and prefer the thinner steel on the BK-10 or BK-7. The BK-2 is what you grab when the world ends as we know it and you only have time to grab one knife.

Nothing wrong with the SOG by the way. I have a couple of the older Tech Bowies in different sizes. They got replaced by the Beckers and a Blackjack 125 which I really like for general woods duty.

Esee 6 , 5 or 4 would be ideal imho.
Great knives, great warranty, great sheaths.
To make it even better get some tkc handles with them :)
