Knife Recommendations

So this is my first post on here and I was wondering if I could get some knife recommendations. I was looking at the Spydiecheif and the ZT 0562 but I decided against them both for the reason of I prefer a more fidget friendly knife. I prefer larger knives but not to big, anything smaller than a Delica is to small and anything bigger than a BM Freek is to big. If I could stay under $200 that would be great, I will probably want to do some modding at some point. I want it able to be a good edc and maybe a hard use every once in a. Blue moon but also good for a fancy carry. Also if the steel was Waterproof or resistant that would be nice but not needed. Mostly fidgety, holds a good edge, under 200, and enough parts for modding. I looked at the Pm2 but decided no to it because of the Tip. Thanks for the help!

An 0562 is a wonderful fidget knife. One of the best flippers on the market. Try one, you'll see.

Civivi have very good knives with excellent action, and fidget friendly, and under 100 bucks.

Also Kershaw bareknuckle

Axis lock knives are probably the best bet for fidgeting.

When somebody mentions the possibility of "fancy carry", my first thought is always some kind of multitool. They don't bring the public perception baggage that even the nicest of knives can have, and in your case, you get a bunch of different attachments to twist about, without ever having to let people know that it has a knife blade.

reading the OP's post ... I thought two or three times of a knife to suggest ... but by the time I got to the end of it ... I don't know what knife checks all those boxes really ... but I'm not one to fidget with my knives much so ... ???

Before I read the last sentence of the op, I kept thinking PM2 is the best knife for him. I ve carried a PM2 quite a bit for outdoor work, and I haven t broken a tip yet. And the pointy tip comes in handy occasionally. I do use the tip for cutting and not prying.. Great knife ergos, great locking mechanism, lightweight, and strong.

My favorite recent acquisitions to fidget with would probably be my ZT0808 and, more recently, Bestech Pebble. The Rexford design is just a pleasure to look at. But the Pebble is a joy to open and close and very difficult to put down. The Pebble opens with a satisfying thunk, where the ZT is more of a (high quality) tink.

It’s not a huge factor but I just would like to close it with one hand. I like the axis lock but have a couple. What were your recommendations? Also I understand if it doesn’t fit all the criteria

Hmmm. I always thought my ZT 0450 and BM 940 were among my best fidgeting blades.

Of the two, I favor the 0450.

Words outta my mouth. Carrying the 0450 today (and yesterday), 940-01 doesn't get out much other than to fidget with.

Massdrop/WE/Ferrum Forge gent for something a little different. Also WE Practic.

Spyderco's are usually highly customizable. Examples of my customized ones. The Yojimbo 2 is very fidget friendly.

WE 901A Deacon with the Yo2 . Best flipper I own, but over your budget at ~$250
