Knife Related Avatar Backstory

Mine is pretty simple, much like me. An old man in a rustic restaurant with license plates from around the country in the background, which kinda tells the story about all the places I have been, starting out as an Army brat, then a Sailor and then a world traveler who installed, trained and repaired machines that were for glass containers. Some places were nice, some not so nice, all gave memories that I will never forget.
Photo was taken by my middle daughter, who is quite gifted and an exceptional tattoo artist in constant demand. The previous avatar was a younger version of me, not as grey back then so I felt a more recent photo was due.

Knife content…there were several knives in various pockets not visible in the photo, but rest assured…they were there 😇

Mine is simple; It is the very first MiniGM knife Geno denning made. I was having a conversation with him about small hunters and that while I loved his GM's I did not care for his small one that he called the CoonSkinner. I suggested a downsized GM model and I think Geno nailed it. Geno told mt this was the first made and the first knife he ever marked prototype. He suggested ivory but I thought stag as I am not really an ivory guy.

Mine is my favorite folder. The Benchmade 635 Mini-Skirmish that has been modified by Tom Krein. He straightened out the recurve & reground it to a 0 grind. I only need to strop it. Funny thing about this knife is it's only one of two knives I have that have a tip down clip. I normally hate tip down, but it works with this one. I've had this for well over 15+ years & the PB washers are so smooth. It just glides open
