Knife related things in Miami (Beach)

Hello guys,

i stand next week in Miami Beach (Thunderbird Beach), I´ve got some questions for my hollidays in the USA.

Because thers some things other then like in germany.

Wich kind of knife is okay to carry? Because i don´t wanna get problems withe the police or some one else(Law).

When i bought some knife, how i transport they in my car?

Wich place it´s fine for shopping knife, gear&co..

I'm a police officer here in Florida. A folder might be your best bet. As it relates to our laws, a folding knife is considered a "pocket knife" and as such is not defined as a weapon and is not regulated under our weapon statues. Carrying a typical tactical folder, a SAK, or other pocket knife on your person, in your car, or in a bag is not in any way illegal here. Miami Beach has no special laws that trump Florida state law in this regard. Enjoy your stay in the, at least for now, free state of Florida and carry your knife without fear.
