At Xmas this year there were 16 of us at Mum's, one of my cousins gets a beer, pulls a SAK from his pocket, opens the cap lifter tool, opens the beer, closes the tool and pockets his SAK. Naturally I noticed what he used and asked him about it - I asked if it was a genuine SAK, he said it was something that was not overly expensive that he bought a few years ago. He took it out of the pocket and handed it to me, I saw the proper SAK emblem and opened the knife blade, it was stamped with the familiar Victorinox name. I said "oh, yes it's a genuine Victorinox, they are really good". He said that he uses it ten times every day. This brought a warm feeling to my heart - it's so great when a non-knife (as far as I know) person says they have a regular use for such a useful tool.
Even better, my sister shows me the Victorinox Swiss Card she keeps in her hand bag - it turns out that some of my relatives are better prepared than I thought. My niece also has a really good FAK in her car (not quite knife related) that my sister got from an ex-army medic work colleague that had lots of spare stuff.
