Knife repair recommendation?

I have a LNIB USA-Made Schrade Old Timer Mustang 125OT. I carried one throughout high school and feel very fortunate to have found a LNIB one again this past winter.

It was built in the 90s but it has some side-to-side blade play my original one did not have. I need to get rid of the blade play.

Once again, this knife has never been used. It is as it came from the factory.

Is there someone on the forum who specializes in repairs of this nature?

I assume the pin under the nickel bolsters will need to be peened, and then the nickel shaped and polished to make it look normal again. I could try it, but would rather ship it off to someone who knows full well what they are doing.

Thank you!

A lot of Schrade folders have a swindle key design which means the pins are hidden in the bolster. These are tricky to re-assemble because you have to be accurate when drilling holes in the bolster for new pins. I am my doing first one now and if I get time I will post a couple picks to let you see what I am talking about.

You may be in luck. The larger schrades usually used the through-pin construction, so adjustment should be easier. Send me a message, I can probably help you.
