I hope I am asking in the right place and not breaking rules.....I have an old Uncle Henry fixed blade that I have had for like forever. I would like to get it fixed up just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction ? I will post a pic in a few.
Thanks
Jack

We have guys who will do a restoration for you. You might find one here or ask for their help here. Just make sure there are no membership level restrictions before you post in those areas. I don't know if there are off the top of my head.

Go look on the "traditionals" board at some of the restoration shown. Then you can get an idea as to what you want done and who can do it.

If I'm not mistaken this knife would be carbon steel right ?
In that case all you really need is to use some steel wool and wd40 to remove the rust if that's the only real issue.
No need to make the blade look brand new and remove the patina from the memories you've made with it.

If it's stainless steel or has significant wear then I would suggest contacting a member here to have it restored for you.
