Wow! That really is well thought out, superbly produced and quite informative. It really adds to my appreciation of barlows. Thank you for that contribution.

One of the most entertaining and informative videos I have watched! Very well done, thanks for sharing.

When I saw that the video was 15 minutes long, I was somewhat reluctant to watch the whole thing. Now, having done exactly that, I can honestly say that it was well worth every second. GREAT job!!!!

Great video. I have several "favorites" in the knife world and the Barlow knife is one of them. That is a very nice looking knife.

That was great. It just so happens that while I was watching it I'm working on fixing up an old '60's Utica Kutmaster Barlow I picked up off eBay. It's pretty rough, but it'll fix up nice. The factory edges are junk, but I put a decent edge on the main blade with my Edge Pro, but the pen blade will take a lot of freehand work. The main blade had a ton of wiggle, so I whacked it several times with a rubber mallet. Tightened it up pretty good, but now the pins stick out pretty far, so I'm sanding and polishing them down. Still, it's much nicer than the Sabre/Imperial barlows, with their hollow "bolsters" and plastic scales that sit on the formed handles. I guess it's a lot like Tom Sawyer's 12 1/2 penny Barlow. Bone handles, heavy, solid, and crude. Rough as it is, it's in unused condition despite its age. I'll post pictures when I complete my work on it.

That was GREAT! What luck to find such a review of one of my favorite knives, and I camped out overlooking the Mississippi river last night!

That was excellent, Stefan! I grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down to watch the video.

Very nicely done. Thank you so much for sharing that.

Wow; that is so good, and I agree with all of the above! Excellant video and to me Doc Watson is one of our finest if not the finest American folk artist! My dad took me to see my first theater movie in the late 60's it was the movie version of the book!

Schmalhaus, you had no need to apologize for anything in that video. It was very interesting and professionally done. Thanks for sharing.
Here's my barlow on a glass of American Bourbon.
