Aside from concealed and open carry laws, are there any knives that would be considered a "legal" knife in any of the 50 states? What I'm thinking now would be a delica 4 wave. Any Ideas?

Just to be sure I understood you correctly, you are asking what knives are legal to own (not necessarily carry) in all 50 states? That would be most knives. Laws that prevent you from actually just owning knives are extremely rare, and only confined to very specific knives. In fact, based on my experience reading the laws all over the US, I would say that the only knives with any restrictions on mere ownership are ballistic knives, switchblades, and butterfly knives. Folders and fixed blades of all kinds are legal in every state to own. The delica is just a folder, so I'm certain it would be legal to own one in all 50 states unless there is an obscure city law about possession of a knife while under the age of 18.

Sorry for being unclear, I am looking for a knife that is legal to carry in all 50 states, whether it has to be concealed or open is not a problem. And after some more research the delica4 is out as per "any knife that can be flicked out" being considered a gravity in NY.

Basically a slipjoint knife (doesn't lock) with a blade less than 3" should be legal under all state laws. New York's infamous "flick" rule only includes locking knives, so a slipjoint is a popular way to evade this.

Keep in mind that certain cities have laws prohibiting all knife carry in public without proof of a reason. While rare, they do exist. In addition, some cities have restrictions on age rather than the knife itself. Still further, there are numerous places like court houses, K-12 schools and air port sterile areas where all knives are prohibited.

Yup, also some jurisdictions have ordinances against any locking knives.

Sounds like a Spyderco Squeak would do the job. slip-joint and under 2 inches
