So I was thinking today ( which I try not to do) and was wondering what are the top 3 pocket knife companies with sales?? Im not sure is this info is out there so that anyone knows for sure or if we can just guess. Know Im talking sales not which companies you like the best. So who are the top 3??? Fiqured if Im going to be in the hobby I should know whos at the top of it

IMO this isn't a great question...I'm sure there are companies out there with high volumes of production sales. However my guess is that those sales are going to people that aren't enthusiasts like many of us here, who are in the minority in that many people are non-knife people (varies by region but think that can be said as the general consensus).

If you are truly interested I would suggest researching each of the top companies individually and looking at their total revenue. Any google search seems to show more opinion based lists than factual ones, but I didn't search long before I replied here which is why I started off stating that this is my opinion. I'm sure there are some members here that could answer the question for you but a little research could probably yield the answers you are looking for in an unbiased way. Good luck my friend!

Oh yeah I forgot about Buck. I feel like Victorinox is a little harder to find, with a lot of knock offs being cheaper and more available.

I believe Victorinox (and Wenger) are No. 1 in sales worldwide.
Guesses: No. 2 and 3 would be probably Gerber and Kershaw.

I would love to see the numbers on how many Classics Victorinox sells every year.

On a world-wide scale, I would guess that Mora and Opinel would have to be included in this conversation. We may not buy them by the truckloads in this country, but they surely do overseas...

Just a consideration. :)

Victorinox, they make and sell thousands and thousands of products every few days I'd think.

Another reason I ask this question is because when talking blades or showing one Im edcing people have ask me for my favorite company but also top selling brands and why.

My guess for top 3 before writing this thread were Kershaw, Gerber, and Buck in no order. Reason being they all make a budget line that the averge person is more likely to pick up at Walmart or other large retail store. But as for worldwide Im not sure about other knife brands and their sales.
