Knife scale storage

I've been keeping my scales in my basement for several years (always 65-75° and below 35% humidity). Now, I have a heated shop attached to my garage. I'm thinking about moving my scales into the shop. I live in Wisconsin so I insulated and installed a heater for the winters. But the summers can be fairly humid and I do not run a dehumidifier. I'm a little concerned about the natural wood scales/blocks absorbing the humidity and warping.

Should I just keep the unstabilized wood in the basement? Or not worry about it?

Also looking for shelving/storage ideas. Probably going to install some shelving soon. Any pics would be helpful of how you guys/gals store your scales

Thanks,
Wissler

I store all of my wood indoors. My outside workshop is too exposed to damp and temperature fluctuations. I ship all over the world, and figure 99% of these knives will live in someone's house, so best mimic as best I can by being in the warm and dry.

My feelings exactly. That basement sounds like a perfect environment.
