Knife Scales

Hello,

So I'm in college and just barely getting into knife making. Do any hardware stores have any good wood to use for handles. Also whats a good epoxy/resin to use?

I've only seen pine at the hardware stores around here. Not good for knives, IMHO.

Are there any speciality hardwood stores, or furniture shops in your area? The furniture shop may have some hardwood scraps they would sell you cheap.

Best bet might be to buy online.
