Knife selection dilemma, essentially Crusader Forge VS Chris Reeve

Hello,
I'm new to this forum and understand that in this inquiry on peoples' opinion between two seemingly very different manufacturers, I may be opening a serious can-'o-worms. Hopefully with some not too biased observations I will glean enough information to continue to arm myself with knowledge to make a heavily informed purchase...

I've put myself in for a fixed (Oberland 2) and a folder (FIFP Flipper) from Crusader Forge and I am aware of the unholy lead-time, but in searching for reviews and combing the forums for scraps of info, a lot of details of Chris Reeve's Pacific and Sebenza 25 respectively have popped up for one reason or another. Now I understand CF and CRK may even serve different clientele entirely but, these fixed blades seem to be trying to serve a similar purpose, for example. The folders appear to be a world apart where even though the Sebenza was beefed up with respect to the 21 model with other improvements, compared to the FIFP, well that flipper is just a tank. Looking for info on CRK fixed blades I saw a review on the Green Beret where this guy Cliff (I believe?) in '08 absolutely destroyed a couple of them. The review was very technical and I'm not certain it represented real-world usage on all fronts either.

So as for their use, I'm in the service and they will be going to the field to get brutalized, especially the fixed blade. With that alone I want to lean towards CF for obvious reasons, but the quality and practicality of of the Sebenza as an EDC makes me wonder. Also perhaps the folder doesn't need to be tacticool but I tend to beat the s@!t out of things. I also need to add that I'm not a collector so it's just function over form for me and having destroyed most recently a Ka-bar I'm ready to invest so dough in what I hope to be my "forever" set. For instance, what about CF's S30V vs CRK S35VN metals, is the hardness going to make that much of a difference between those?

Anyone have substantial experience with either of these pairs, had their hands on both and can give a direct comparison for either the fixed or folder, even if not the same model...? Other ways of looking at this?
Thanks in advance for reading all this if you have, any info is appreciated,
b

"This guy Cliff"

That would be Cliff Stamp, who is something of an antichrist around these parts. He has a youtube page and is generally quite responsive if you send him a PM.

As for your actual question, what are you actually intending to do with your knives? "Hard use" is kind of a broad term.
