Hello everyone, I was thinking about buying a knife sharpener.

But I wanted to get some opinions on which might be the better system to go with.

Ive been looking at the wicked edge, but I haven't heard any feedback on it.

I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks and be safe

Mike.

Wicked edge is wicked. Very easy to set up and use the base kit comes with every thing you need to get started and there are lots of up grades and options. i do recomend the Up graded arms they are very nice and let you dial in your edge. I also have an Edge Pro Apex that I use alot for larger knives. I have a Full set of shapton stones for my edge pro 320 up to 15 or 16k and I can get some great results. They are both Top O da line systems and worth every penny just do your home work and get the system that will best fit your needs

The wicked edge is a phenomenal sharpening system. I've been hand sharpening for decades and I'm pretty good at it, but I got a we for Christmas and I will never go back to the old way. If you are obsessive about sharp knives you will not he disappointed. There is a little bit of a learning curve but you can find tons of good info here and on YouTube. I have the base system and am able to get mirror-polished edges with the addition of strips of 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500 grit sandpaper which I tape onto the 600 grit paddles.

I just got a Work Sharp and am very impressed. I have never been good with sharpening, until now:)

I have a Work Sharp, and love the results it gives me for a down and durty quick sharpen job. But it is just a small compact narrow belt sander, and has all the cautions of any belt sander. I use mine for major re-profiling jobs followed up with my paper wheel set up. I also use it for sharpening garden tools. (hoe, shovel, pruning shears, etc) I bought it for my kitchen knives, and was extremely satisfied with the job it did. For around $75 it is a good tool. I don't use it on my folders, as most of them are old hand me downs, and I would rather use the wheels for them, as I have more control over the outcome.

Blessings,

Omar

I'm not a knife expert but have been using Work Sharp for a while. I think it's a great tool that make sharpening easier. Most of my blades have a convex edge so it's a great sharpener for me. If you want the other models for comparison, you can find at Bestsellingreviews.

Thanks everyone for the feedback on sharpeners.

It appears that Bob Nash would be the logical choice to purchase a W/E from.

Thanks again and Be Safe 24/7
