I can sharpen knives on my spyderco sharpmaker pretty good but I just bought a knife and I want a "hair whittleing" edge on it plus my knife has a small chip in the edge and I don't think I could get it out with my standard sharpmaker set up. Do you guys know of anyone or a company who can professionally do this for me? and if their is a company or person who could take the chip out of the edge and get my knife "hair whittleing" sharp, how much do you guys think it would cost? The knife I wanted sharpened is a GEC Scout.

My dad swears by him, and after seeing a few of his edges I agree that he does a nice job. Very nice polish. IIRC he's a big "diamond guy" where I prefer waterstones, but you definitely won't be disappointed with his work.:thumbup:
BTW, he's also a stand-up guy. You might be leery of sending a knife to some dude on the interwebs that you don't know, but rest assured- he's one of the good guys.

Even if you don't send him your knife, contact him and he'll teach or at least give you advice on hot to DIY. The advice Jason shared with me has helped...alot.
