knife sharpening

I have a fixed blade helle knife similar to

When I first bought it I could shave the hair off my arms but unable to get it back to this sharpness. Any advise?

I would highly recommend waterstones for sharpening, something as simple as a King 1k 6k or as high class as a set of Naniwa Chosera or Shapton. They will all work just depends on how much you want to spend and what stones you want/need.
