Can anyone tell me where and how much it would cost to get a 5 inch folder professionally sharpened?

I did a search but could not find anything on it. I am having a dispute with a guy I bought a knife off of on ebay, and he told me the knife was "lightly" used and the blade is as dull as crap and the tip is rounded off. I then sent him a message stating all the issues, and he stated he would refund part of the purchase price to have it professionally sharpened.

I need to get a price figure to tell this guy as far as price goes on getting this knife situation taken care of.

Thanks for the help.

If you aren't happy with it I would just get your money back. You need to figure in about $6 just for shipping each way so $12 plus sharpening costs which is anywhere between $5 and $25 depending on the person. So $17 to $37 for an average of $27.

a 5" knife is $5. if the knife fits in the cheapest flat rate box thats $10. both ways. insurance is a few bucks so about $25. maybe less.

I don't think he is looking for the cheapest way to get his knife sharpened or actually find someone to do it. I think he is just trying to get a dollar amount so that he can get some of his money back on a knife that was misrepresented in an auction.
