Hi All,
Frst post to this forum.
I'm a leathercraftmanhave been since the 60's. Also a bayonet collector and have been making bayonet frogs for several years..you may be familiar with them as I have sold more than a thousand to collectors around the world..ebay id shaman15. I've recently become interested in knives and have began collecting them also and making sheaths, both custom, WWII types and Randall.
I don't take shortcuts..everything is hand made from start to finish and collectors have been very pleased with them.
I'm dying to make an Alfred Cornish style sheath but think they might only look really good with a Nichols style knife. Anyone making Floyd Nichols style fighting knives out there? Would love to get up with someone who is and make up a Cornish style sheath for the knife.
Sure, nobody can afford to work for nothing but its not about the money. I really think the Nichols knives are unique and would love to make a great sheath for one. Johnson sheaths are great and I love making them but have a stong urge to design make a great Cornish syle sheath for a Nichols type knife.. So if anyone has this type knife and needs a great sheath for it let me know ..would just need a top shot pic and blade length (can get the proportions from that using an image editor) to make up the patten. Again, not hustling up business......very busy as it is..just want a good excuse to make up a Cornish style sheath.
) Anyone with a Nichols style knife needing a great sheath let me know...Need that great blade shape to make the sheath look like it should.
Thanks and Regards,
Harry
