Well, I put a couple hundred miles on the car, went to Dave Boye's shop in Davenport (bought a Eagle wing BDC), the Outpost in Capitola (bought a William Henry S07G),and Carmel Cutlery in Carmel (bought the SpyderCard).
If y'all get the chance to hit David Boye's shop, DO IT! You will not regret talking with Dave. No, not that Dave. However, David Boye will be there this weekend. There's also a sale until Father's Day!! (hint hint hint!!)
The Outpost in Carmel has a great selection given the size of the store (Squeeze!). Leon and "Leo" are fabulous people too, and I would recommend dropping in there if you;re in the area. If you see Garrett, one of the employees, ask about the sword!
And, last but not least, if you're in the Carmel area, drop in to Carmel Cutlery. Tanya was a blast to talk to, and was happy to show me even the knives I couldn't afford, but let me drool anyways.
Of course, saving the best for last, I was able to meet Matt Conable from William Henry. At his office! And he showed me some GORGEOUS customs he's just finished, along with a little bit of the shop!
Now, for all of you (Senator!) who said my priorities were screwed up by missing the BLADE Show for my sister's graduation....nyah nyah nyah!!! Of course, I'm only joking Kelly... We MUST meet at the Knife show in Winston Salem!!!
