Knife Shops in Atlanta?

I am heading to Atlanta and wondered if there were any great shops for custom knives or just a great knife store in general?

I don't know of any in the city of Atlanta itself, but there's Brigade Quartermasters in Kennesaw (a few minutes north of Atlanta). They have a decent selection of knives and other gear.

Other than gun stores (Chucks has some nice customs now and then), the typical mall stores, sporting goods stores and Wally World that is all ya got. If there is a gun show at the time you are in town, that is the ticket.

There will be a Gun/Knife show Dec 18-19 at the Atlanta State Farmers Market, Exhibition Bulding. There will be another on Feb 5-6.

There will also be one at the Lawrenceville-Gwinnett County Fairgrounds Jan 29-30, which is 15 miles N.E. of Atlanta.

It may just three days..., but in those three days (in June), you can find the most and best knives you can get in the world

You might want to check out the knife section in the hunting department at Bass Pro in Atlanta, just off I-85S heading in to Atlanta. They have a good selection in the display cases that are lined up with the riflescopes, etc. Also, on one of the aisles in the hunting section are knives that are in bubble packs. Be sure you find that--I believe it was on the same aisle as the knife sharpening supplies. I bought my BM MiniPika in the red pack there. The BPS store is connected to a huge mall, so the spouse or other can do their shopping too.

The largest selection of knives I have found in metro Atlanta is in a shop in downtown Newnan, which is about 30 - 35 miles southwest of Atlanta off I-85. The shop is call Oz Cutlery, and is located on the square in the center of Newnan, across the street from the courthouse. It is in a corner location on the southeast side of the square - you can't miss it. The shop sells both guns and knives, and has a huge selection of knives. The owner has all sorts of knives, from cheap production models to expensive customs.

I can say that David's Gun Room (5074 Buford Hwy, Norcross, GA Phone: (770) 447-6021) used to sell the Randall knives. I haven't been in there for quite a while, but you can see if they still have those.
