Theres very few knife shops in my area.I live in Hyde Park N.Y. Any of you guy's in CT. or surrounding area know of any good knife shop that might carry Chris Reeeve one piece line or Randalls.I'm already aware of JT's in Port jervis but he does not carry the knives I'm interested in handling.I don't mind driving up to two hours. Thanks for any help in advance.Ralph

Tombstone,

Not great pickings, I'm sorry to report. Some of us have been to Paragon in NYC, which has a great selection of very high end stuff(read EXPENSIVE!!)

There's a retail store chain in the Boston area(name escapes me---Stafford's?) that carries great stuff at LIST plus pricing, and a store or two on the Island(outdoor/police/guns stores)that carries Benchmades and Spydies, Ramsey Outdoor in Ramsey NJ that carries the same plus a few handmades. There is also a police/outdoor store in the Hartford area that had a nice selection, on Berlin Turnpike, too....north of you I haven't seen any place in the Albany area, but I may have missed some.

The other chain stores I've seen, like Remington, and Herder's in PA, are ok but are very minimally stocked and tend to get list prices for things.

Best bet for Reeve etc., is on line or gun shows, like the one recently in Danbury that is attended by a few dealers like Ripoff Knife and Tool...Roz carries Reeve, Mission, Elishewitz, for example, plus all of the usual factory mades. I know she also does mail order. There are any number of on line sellers here, and any one of them should be excellent to deal with, too.

I've been to JT's, although over a year ago I believe, and there was some nice stuff there. It's inside an army/navy store that was pretty good, too.

Let us know if you find anything or any place good!!

Thanks for the info guy's,I'm gonna check out the one in CT on mapblast and see how far a drive it is.Thanks,Ralph

I looked up Middlefield on mapblast came up with nothing and I don't find a listing for a middlefield on my atlas. Are you sure thats the correct town?Do you have a telephone number for this store? Thanks again,Ralph

Cubetas is on Rt.66 Middlefield as it's listed in the telephone book. Try mapquest.com. It comes up in a search there
phone is 1-800-282-3827

Ralph,

Cubeta's Field and Stream is right on Rt.66 and they have a wide selection of handmades as well as factory knives. Prices are a bit high though. They also have a decent gun selection. From 84/TSP the store is about 1 1/2 hrs.
