Knife shops in Vegas

Since the Las Vegas Classic Knife Show is coming up in February, I thought I'd throw in some word-of-mouth on knife shops in Vegas. The most well-known one is Blanchard's Cutlery, located on Maryland Parkway. Blanchard's usually has a decent selection, but they're a bit slow to get anything new in. Their prices are about what you'd expect in a retail store.

The second store, which is the one I frequent, is Bond's House of Cutlery. It is also listed in the Vegas yellow pages as Knives & More. This store has probably the best selection and fairest prices of any knife store I've seen. The woman that owns the place is very nice, and has the distinct honor of also being a knife nut! Bond's House of Cutlery is located on West Sahara.

Both stores are fairly easy to find, just look up the address in the Vegas yellow pages, and give the address to the cabbie.

If anyone would like any more info on the Vegas area, such as good parking, places to eat, be entertained, just let me know and I'll be happy to help.

Hmm....not sure...I'll call 'em up and check.

I do know they carry the SERE 2000 and Boker Brend, among others...

I enjoyed going to Bonds.. it is a very messy store with lots of stuff everywhere.. it's almost liek a treasure hunt there and I got a few oohs and wows when I looked under the piles. a nice surprise.. not for the claustraphobic of obsesive compulsives.. but great for those people who liek to dig in other people's attics.

what are the coolest gun stores? Especially ones with old or unusual stuff/ thanks. see you there!

Chitwang,

To answer your question, yes, they do carry MT's...no LCC's in stock right now, but they can order whatever you like. Just call them a few weeks ahead and they'll have it waiting. Providing there are no more shipment seizures in Oregon...

Tom,

I'm not all that familiar with the gun shops in town, but I have a friend who is. As soon as I can get in touch with him, I'll let you know.

We will be in Vegas next weekend. We have found a few gems in the past like Joes Crab House. If you have other ideas let us know.
