Going to the knife show in Jersey City tomorrow. Its my first show so I'm hoping for some good advice from show pros on how to do it. I know my first stop is the Hinderer table for a lottery ticket. Any other strategies how to get the most out of this? I'm still technically supposed to be working so I plan on checking in at 1pm, grabbing a lottery ticket, and then returning at around 3:30 pm. I'm working in an office a couple blocks away... All advice is welcome!!!!

Yeah. I think you need to seriously reconsider your priorities, here.

I suppose you should either decide on a list of knives that you want to buy, in order from most to least, or decide how you are going to apportion the money you have to spend.

Either way, don't buy something just to buy something. If you come away empty, then that's money you can save for another knife later on.

Take your time and take it all in. It is easy to reach the saturation point. Bring money.

I would definitely get in on the hinderer lottery and RJ Martin lottery.
Last year the hinderers were $385 for the production 3.5 and $550 for the custom 3.5.
I think the others were in the $700-800 range.
RJ's go for $550-900. If you win and dont want the knife, give it to someone else, lol!
The hinderer raffle is out of control, just to warn ya...
Seems like also alot of people go there with many friends, or may even pay someone to sit on the lottery, so they can have multiple chances to win the lotteries, such as a former member on here that many members do not like.
All the good and wanted knives are gone by friday, within 1-2 hours after 11am..
Actually, most are gone by thursday night.
But you will have fun, handle alot of knives, and hopefully win a lottery or 2...
And bring cash for the lotteries.
Good luck and maybe see you there. PM me if you want to meet up..
